Steak Diane


A great Aussie favourite with a contemporary twist.

Cook time:6 mins

Serves: 4


  • 400g piece fillet steak
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1 spring onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Leggo’s Tomato Paste
  • 1 tablespoon brandy or water
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Edgell Instant Mash and steamed vegetables, for serving
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish


Step 1

Cut steak into 1cm slices and lightly flatten.

Step 2

Heat oil in a non stick frypan, add meat slices and sear quickly for 1-2 minutes on each side. Remove from pan and set aside.

Step 3

Add garlic and spring onion to pan with Leggo’s Tomato Paste, brandy and Worcestershire sauce and heat for 1-2 minutes, stirring continuously. Return meat to pan to reheat. Serve immediately with Edgell Instant Mash and steamed vegetables. Garnish with parsley.

Tasty Tip!

Try adding a can of Edgell Mushrooms in Butter Sauce.
