Savoury Mince


Savoury mince can become a gourmet dish when presented like this on a puff pastry case.

Serves: 4


  • 500g lean beef mince
  • 3 spring onions, chopped
  • ½ cup Leggo's Tomato Paste
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • 420g can Edgell Mixed Vegetables, undrained
  • Pastry Cases :
  • 2 sheets readymade puff pastry
  • 2 tablespoons milk


Step 1

Lightly spray a non-stick pan with oil and heat, cook beef mince for 3-4 minutes until browned.

Step 2

Add spring onions, Leggo's Tomato Paste, Worcestershire sauce and undrained Edgell Mixed Vegetables. Gently simmer for 3-4 minutes or until sauce has thickened.

Step 3

Meanwhile make pastry cases. Cut one sheet into 4 squares and slice the other sheet into 8 then cut each in half. Lay 4 strips around the edge of each square, overlapping to form a border. Brush pastry with milk and bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for 15 minutes.

Tasty Tip!

For a heartier dish add a 125g can Edgell Red Kidney Beans in step 2 with mixed vegetables.
