Potato Pizza


Instant potato mash makes a quick and easy base for pizzas.

  • Pizza Base:
  • 1½ cups self-raising flour
  • ½ cup (50g) Edgell Instant Mash
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup milk
  • Topping:
  • ¼ cup Leggo’s Pizza Sauce
  • ½ cup roasted red capsicum strips
  • 6-8 slices salami, chopped
  • 1 cup grated tasty cheese
  • Olives or anchovies (optional)
  • Baby spinach leaves


Step 1

Sift self-raising flour into a large bowl and stir in Edgell Instant Mash. In a separate bowl, beat together egg, oil and milk and stir into flour. Mix all ingredients into a soft dough.

Step 2

Turn dough out onto a floured board and knead lightly, roll dough out to fit a round 30cm diameter lightly greased pizza tray.

Step 3

Spread the dough with Leggo’s Pizza Sauce and top with roasted capsicum, salami, grated cheese, olives and or anchovies. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for 20-25 minutes. Serve pizza topped with fresh baby spinach leaves.

Tasty Tip!

Substitute a drained can of John West Tuna for the salami.
