Try this winter warming asparagus and broccoli soup.

- 30g butter
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 425g can Edgell Asparagus Cuts & Tips, drained
- 2 cups chicken stock
- ½ cup cream
- 2 tablespoons fresh chopped chives, for garnish
Melt butter in a saucepan, add onion, broccoli and cook for 3 minutes or until onion has softened.
Add Edgell Asparagus Cuts & Tips and stock and bring to the boil. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes.
Add cream and puree until smooth. Reheat soup and serve sprinkled with chives.
For an alternative garnish, sprinkle soup with ½ cup cooked bacon strips or a dollop of Greek yoghurt.
