Chicken Balls With Sweet Chilli Sauce


Lightly spiced chicken balls filled with the added goodness of chick peas.

Serves: 4


  • 500g chicken mince
  • 1/3 cup dry white or multigrain breadcrumbs
  • 3 spring onions, finely chopped
  • 2 teaspoons Mexican, Moroccan or Indian seasoning
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 300g can Edgell Chick Peas, drained and mashed
  • 1/3 cup breadcrumbs, extra, for rolling
  • Oil spray
  • Frozen Birds Eye Baby Beans and Birds Eye Corn Kernels, cooked following packet directions, for serving
  • Sweet chilli sauce, for serving


Step 1

Combine chicken mince, breadcrumbs, spring onions, seasoning, egg and mashed Edgell Chick Peas in a bowl.

Step 2

Roll chicken mixture into ¼ cup size balls and roll in extra breadcrumbs. Place balls onto a baking paper lined oven tray and spray with oil.

Step 3

Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for 25 minutes. Serve with Birds Eye Whole Baby Beans and Corn Kernels. Drizzle with sweet chilli sauce.

Tasty Tip!

Grated carrot can be added to the mince mixture as a great way to add extra vegetables.
