Chicken & Vegetable Pastie Roll


Chicken and vegetables rolled in buttery pastry makes the perfect gourmet pastie roll

Serves: 4


  • 2 cups cooked shredded BBQ chicken
  • 1 cup grated tasty cheese
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 2 tablespoons chopped chives
  • 420g can Edgell Mixed Vegetables, drained
  • 2 sheets shortcrust pastry, slightly thawed
  • 2 tablespoons milk


Step 1

Combine chicken, cheese, egg and chives in a large bowl. Fold through Edgell Mixed Vegetables.

Step 2

Lay pastry sheets with one sheet slightly overlapping the other to form a rectangle. Brush edges with milk.

Step 3

Spoon chicken mixture along the longer length of pastry edge closest to you. Fold in pastry ends and roll up over chicken mixture. Continue rolling to form a log. Place on a greased baking tray, seal side down.

Step 4

Brush pastry with milk and bake in a preheated oven at 190°C for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown. Serve hot or cold.

Tasty Tip!

To make smaller pasties, use 4 sheets of pastry and cut each into 4. Place chicken mixture onto one corner of each pastry square and fold over to form a triangle. Seal edges with milk and press with a fork.
