Black Eye Bean Dip


This dip packs a punch! Deliciously spicy and tangy, perfect with pre-dinner drinks.

Makes: 1 cup


  • 400g can Edgell Black Eye Beans, drained
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1 teaspoon water
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • Finely grated zest and juice of 1 lemon
  • Crackers and vegetable sticks, for serving


Step 1

Place Edgell Black Eye Beans, garlic, water, cayenne pepper, lemon zest and juice in a food processor. Season to taste. Blend until a smooth consistency. Adjust consistency by adding a little water if necessary.

Step 2

Serve with crackers and vegetables sticks.

Tasty Tip!

The size or juiciness of lemon will determine the amount of water required.
